Vanilla Frosting

  • 2 cups shortening

  • 8 cups confectioner's sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

  • 6 ounces heavy cream


1.  Cream shortening until fluffy.

2.  Add confectioner's sugar and continue creaming until well blended.  The mix will be lumpy.

3.  Add salt, vanilla, and heavy cream.  Blend at high speed until fluffy.  Add more heavy cream if necessary.
